Our Beloved Four Legged Family Members
The Spring of my daughter’s Senior year in Upper School, she started putting puppy pictures on my computer, as the screen saver. The English Setters we had and loved dearly while the kids were growing up, had passed away from old age and we were dogless for the first time in 14 years. She was headed off to Kenyon college in Ohio and knew I would miss both she and her brother as they headed off to college abandoning me 🙂 I have my daughter to thank for our first Great Dane puppy 🙂 We’ve added a total of 5 to our family.

Our Next Trip
Our next trip planned trip is late summer 2024 on an Alaskan cruise with the adult children and their partners. This will be my second visit to Alaska. We went late Summer 2022 and loved seeing the wildlife, the bears, eagles, fish, whales, seals. I’m especially excited to go with the kids this year, as we haven’t vacationed with them since right after their college graduations.
Notre-Dame de Paris
One of my most moving travel experiences was visiting the Notre-Dame de Paris. When I visited Paris with the family a second time in 2007 to my deep regret we didn’t go into Notre Dame and then on April 15, 2019, I watched the live coverage of the fire and was horrified. I hope to be able to visit after the restoration is complete.
